Our site at Birchington is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their Glasshouse team.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our production machinery and equipment. Working across our glasshouse and packing facilities, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns and support continuous improvement activities to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
Other responsibilities include:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and assist with mechanical repairs.
- Replace consumable parts and complete routine maintenance activities.
- Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and minimise disruption to production.
- Complete inspections and maintenance records accurately.
- Work closely with operational teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults and identify effective solutions quickly.
- Mechanical aptitude and practical maintenance skills.
