Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as slate, tile or torch on felt.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble roofing components.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for roofing projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Fabricate custom roofing parts on-site through cutting, shaping, and assembly processes.
- Collaborate with construction teams on framing, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics and technical drawings related to roofing systems.
- Proficiency with welding, power tools, hand tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing installation or repair is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety standards.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Basic carpentry skills for framing or structural adjustments related to roofing projects.
