Are you a caring, reliable person who wants to make a real difference? Due to a 14 bedroom extension, Greenlane House Care Home is looking for compassionate Care Assistants to join our friendly team and support residents to feel safe, comfortable and well cared for.
Greenlane House Care Home is situated in the charming village of Brampton in Cumbria, and is part of the esteemed PH Care Group, a family-operated organisation devoted to providing top-tier care for our residents.
There are various positions open, with different Hours of Work:
- 7am to 2.30pm
- 2.30pm to 10pm
- 7am to 7pm
Hours: Between 26.25 and 36 hours per week, including weekend work.

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality care and support in line with residents’ care plans. You will help residents with their routines, personal care, comfort, dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and personal support that promotes residents’ comfort, dignity and quality of life.
- Support residents with routines, including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility where required.
- Prepare and serve meals and drinks, encouraging independence and choice wherever possible.
- Help maintain clean, safe and welcoming bedrooms and communal areas, including supporting with laundry tasks.
- Follow safety procedures, report concerns or hazards promptly, and help maintain a safe living environment.
- Follow care plans and delegated instructions, work calmly under pressure and give accurate handovers.
- Use digital systems and approved devices for recording and monitoring.
- Support with medication duties where required and under appropriate supervision.
About You
We are looking for someone who is caring, confident and reliable, with the ability to support residents and colleagues in a busy care home environment.
- Experience in adult social care or nursing care is desirable.
- Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care, Health and Social Care, or an equivalent relevant qualification or willingness to complete.
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to the leadership, medication and operational responsibilities of the role.

Training and Support
Our training programme will support you to feel confident in your role as a Night Care Assistant and develop useful skills for both work and everyday life.
As part of our standard induction programme, employees are invited to complete training such as:
- Basic fire awareness training, including the use of firefighting equipment.
- Fire warden training.
- Dementia awareness training.
- Choking first aid training.
- Basic first aid training.
- Additional training that can support you both at work and at home.
