Pink Tile Education is recruiting a Pupil Support Assistant for a specialist SEMH school in Haywards Heath, supporting primary-aged pupils with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs.

- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small class groups
- Assisting pupils to engage with lessons and classroom activities
- Helping children develop emotional resilience and self-regulation skills
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual pupil needs
- Creating a safe, consistent and encouraging learning environment
- Have experience working with children or young people with additional needs, either in education, care or support settings
- Be patient, adaptable and resilient
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH and complex needs
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle due to the school's location
Previous SEMH experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with transferable skills and the right attitude. Full training and support will be provided.
