Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all domestic joinery works including kitchens, bathrooms, bespoke built in wardrobes, internal doors and panelling. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, ranging from residential roofing to bespoke carpentry, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety are maintained at all times.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble timber and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as roofing frameworks, flooring, doors, windows, and bespoke furniture
- Measure accurately and cut materials to specified dimensions
- Assist in the installation of fixtures and fittings including plumbing, electrical components, masonry elements, and construction painting where required
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials or equipment around the site
- Follow technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise execution of projects
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to uphold health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other trades such as electricians, plumbers, masons, and roofers to complete integrated projects
Requirements
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction trades
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry work, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and construction painting is desirable
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and measurements
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness suitable for manual labour tasks over extended periods
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are advantageous
- Valid health & safety awareness certification is preferred
