As our Learning & Development Consultant, you will lead the learning and development approach for IT & Digital, identifying capability needs, maintaining the IT&D Skills Matrix and coordinating training programmes that strengthen service resilience and workforce capability.
You'll work closely with managers, trainers, Tech Advocates and external suppliers, oversee training budgets and schedules, lead the IT&D Learning & Development Steering Group and ensure colleagues have access to relevant, accessible and high-quality learning opportunities.
This role is hybrid, with an expectation of working from County Hall, Lewes at least one day a week and more frequently if there is a business need.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience planning, delivering or coordinating learning and development programmes within a complex or service-based environment
- Can identify capability gaps, develop training plans and use skills, performance and feedback data to inform priorities
- Have experience managing training suppliers, contracts, procurement activity and/or training budgets
- Can build strong relationships and influence managers, stakeholders and suppliers to achieve positive outcomes.
- Have experience leading, supervising or coaching others and supporting their development.
