Job Purpose
- You’ll be responsible for supporting the continuous running of equipment and machinery, performing routine maintenance, and organising and carrying out repairs. This hands-on role plays a vital part in ensuring our production runs efficiently, safely, and reliably.
- You’ll also support improvements in our plant operations, reduce the incidence of breakdowns, and help implement maintenance strategies to drive long-term reliability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out routine, scheduled maintenance and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and faults
- Support and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Fit new parts and ensure equipment is fully functional
- Maintain and control stores of maintenance tools and equipment
- Deal with emergency breakdowns and repairs
- Operate and maintain specialist equipment, including PLC-controlled systems
- Write and implement maintenance strategies and procedures
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing or food production environment is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: £39,780.00-£53,820.00 per year
