Job Summary
The MRI Patient Pathway & Operations Coordinator is a non-clinical, on-site role responsible for managing the administrative patient journey within the MRI service. The role includes handling enquiries, registering patients, coordinating MRI safety documentation for clinical review, scheduling appointments, processing payments, and tracking patients and reports via the Biotronic system. Acting as the key link between patients, radiography staff, and partner clinics, the Coordinator ensures smooth, efficient operations and a high standard of patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inbound patient enquiries via phone and email
- Register patients and collect MRI safety questionnaires
- Review self-booked forms for completeness
- Forward screening documentation to the Radiographer for clinical approval
- Communicate outcomes to patients following clinical review
- Manage manual appointment scheduling and send payment links
- Track patients and reports through the Biotronic system
- Maintain daily operational reporting
- Support monthly operational performance reporting
- Coordinate partner clinic processes
- Support invoicing and payment tracking processes
Requirements
- Previous healthcare administrative experience (preferably in radiology/imaging services)
- Basic understanding of MRI safety processes (preferred)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident using digital systems and patient management platforms
- Ability to recognise and escalate clinically sensitive matters appropriately
- Experience working with operational data and reporting
- Training on the Biotronic system will be provided.
