Would you like to work for a company with a 42-year history and a reputation for quality products and exceptional customer service?
The Bavarian Bakehouse is looking for a Part Time Supervisor for our flagship public café on Hyndland Street in the City Centre.

Regular daily tasks will include:
- Running open and closing checks.
- Setting up the product items displays and updating signage before opening.
- Taking customers orders, preparing orders and completing transactions.
- Preparing a range of specialty grade coffees and other hot drinks
- Fielding customer enquiries (various channels) & promoting the wholesale bakery side of the business.
- Creating social media content for the Shop and liaising with the marketing team in the main office on collaboration projects across both the main bakery and shop channels.
- Shop cleanliness and following food hygiene regulations are crucial as you will be responsible for cleaning the shop during open and closing. So awareness of EHO standards and legal food hygiene regulations would be advantageous.
- The shop offers sandwiches throughout the year, so some experience in creating new variations and making these onsite would be advantageous, but not crucial as training will be provided.
Additional Management Tasks may include:
- Staff management: Creating weekly rotas, dealing with standard HR tasks, ongoing training and further recruitment as and when required.
- Supervising staff on shift: coordinating breaks and ensuring daily tasks are completed
- Opening and closing the shop as a keyholder.
- Overseeing the management of the shop while Shop Manager is on annual leave.
- Cashing up and financial reporting to Company owner.
- Metric analysis and shop recommendations feeding into marketing opportunities.
- Stock receiving, ordering and rotation.
- Contribute to discussions of business and product development in relation to customer feedback.
Please note that there will be shifts where you lone work. So the ideal candidate must be able to work well and effectively alone and be comfortable in this setting.
Comprehensive training across all activities will be provided, where needed, for the ideal candidate.
Pay: £13.05-£13.45 per hour
Benefits:
- Employee discount
