Part-time Arcade Attendant in Westward Ho!
Role:
This is a customer-facing role. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals, aged 18 or over, who can provide first-class customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and hospitality to all customers, including greeting and welcoming customers upon arrival and seeing to their refreshment needs during their stay.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the premises
- Be responsible for Gambling Act compliance: Think-25/age verification, social responsibility, etc (full training will be given)
- Some limited cash-handling/float verification (full training will be given).
- Be responsible for correct opening/closing procedures for the premises.
Skills/Experience:
- Strong focus on customer-service. Experience in arcade/bingo/bookmakers highly prized. Experience in retail/leisure/hospitality also considered in lieu of the previous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organised environment.
- Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns or issues.
- Some cash handling experience preferred. But basic maths competency to ensure accuracy when dealing with cash is essential.
- Ability to work independently as you will be working on your own.
- Reliability, punctuality and good communication with us as an employer are essential and non-negotiable. If you do not embody these traits, then this is not the role for you.
- Employees are required to work until 10pm on an evening shift, with the possibility of working later if busy (and at an increased hourly rate of time and a half after the listed closing time).
- A successful candidate must have a reliable means of transport (i.e. their own vehicle) if they live further than walking distance away. Late closing can go beyond the last bus, so commuting via bus is unfortunately not seen as sufficiently reliable for the role.
- Due to the nature of the business, weekends, bank holidays and school holiday periods are seen as normal working times, so applicants should be sure this is a good fit before applying.
Pay: From £13.25 per hour
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
Work authorisation:
- United Kingdom (required)
Work Location: In person
