We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with various tools and equipment. As a Solar Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation of solar energy systems, contributing to the growth of renewable energy solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels on residential and commercial rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement for solar systems.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on existing solar installations as needed.
- Assist in digging trenches for electrical wiring and other components of the installation process.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all job sites.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge, with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools.
- Familiarity with electrical systems is highly desirable, including basic wiring skills.
- Experience in welding is a plus, as it may be required for certain installations.
- Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
