C.E.L Group (1989) Ltd are a family-run principal contractor specialising in heritage restoration, conservation and refurbishment projects throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced General Builder / Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team. Applications are welcomed from both individuals seeking permanent employment and experienced self-employed labour-only subcontractors.
The role will involve working on a wide range of projects including listed buildings, churches, public buildings, commercial properties and residential refurbishments. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, can work independently and are capable of undertaking a variety of construction tasks.
Typical Duties:
- General building and refurbishment works.
- Brickwork and blockwork repairs.
- Structural alterations and making good.
- Basic carpentry and joinery works.
- Roofing repairs and maintenance.
- Plastering repairs and patching works.
- Heritage and conservation repair works.
- Assisting specialist trades where required.
- Ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Proven experience within the construction industry.
- Good all-round building knowledge and practical skills.
- Ability to work from drawings and instructions.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- CSCS Card preferred.
- Reliable, professional and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Experience within heritage, conservation or refurbishment works would be advantageous but is not essential.
