Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients efficiently and accurately
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Help with meal assembly and serving to ensure timely delivery of orders to customers
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing
- Support the team during busy service periods by staying proactive and maintaining a positive attitude
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
