Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient General Assistant specialising in Food and Beverage to join our team. This role involves supporting the smooth operation of our catering and hospitality services, ensuring guests receive excellent service in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a keen eye for detail, and previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings. Duties
- Assisting with food preparation and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and hygiene
- Serving food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Setting up dining areas, including arranging tables, chairs, and tableware
- Replenishing supplies such as cutlery, napkins, and condiments throughout service periods
- Maintaining cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen stations, and service equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Supporting baristas with drink preparation when required, including coffee and specialised beverages
- Ensuring all food safety protocols are followed diligently
- Assisting with organising catering events or functions as needed
- Providing excellent customer service by engaging positively with guests and addressing their needs promptly
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and restaurant operations
- Barista experience is advantageous but not essential
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Organised with good attention to detail to ensure smooth operations
- Flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the food and beverage environment
