We are seeking a proactive and skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a crucial part of our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods. This is a full-time position with standard PM 2pm-10pm hours Monday to Friday. We are looking for a reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to safely move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries, verifying counts and inspecting for damage.
- Manage stock and perform inventory counts to ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in a warehouse or similar physical work environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts is highly desirable; certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in order picking and inventory tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks as required.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- A team player with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety.
