Job Summary
This role is about having an organisational view and ensuring that we are delivering the best possible service and provides integral support to staff, children and young people.
This role ensures that our service delivery is in line with expected standards (quality, performance, compliance, outcomes for children and young people). It supports the leadership team to meet statutory and regulatory compliance obligations and drives continuous improvement.
Principal Duties and Key Responsibilities
1. To be responsible for the development and management of quality related systems across our children’s homes by routinely visiting services and supporting staff, children and young people to ensure internal and regulatory compliance.
2. To develop, implement and review improvements to organisational systems and processes to allow efficient workflows to support the current and anticipated needs of the organisation
3. To lead the development, implementation and ongoing oversight of the Performance and Impact Framework, ensuring rigorous monitoring, robust Key Performance Indicators, quality performance and outcome data, and effective evaluation to support strategic decision making, learning, compliance and impact measurement
4. To work with senior leaders to deliver and oversee the monitoring of the quality of service, policies, supporting staff learning and regulatory compliance to drive continuous improvement.
5. To work with the Service Director in overseeing the policy framework, and with managers across the organisation to ensure policies and procedures meet need, are kept up to date, and reflect best practice and legal and regulatory requirements.
6. To be responsible for implementing the Young Person Voice and Participation Policy so that coproduction and children and young people’s voices are central to organisational planning, service design, decision making and improvements.
7. To have a clear understanding of Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
8. To contribute to the leadership of trauma-sensitive, psychologically informed practice to allow for continuous improvement service-wide.
9. To maintain a commitment to continuing professional development and to work in accordance with our vision, mission, values, Code of Conduct, and policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, and equity, diversity and inclusion.
10. To role model expected behaviours and promote a positive, asset-based culture.
11. To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by Cranmead, including deputising as appropriate.
Person Specification
Essential
Knowledge and experience
1. Experience of working in a demanding operational environment
2. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of leading and delivering continuous improvement
3. Experience in designing, monitoring and leading quality management systems
4. Proven experience of developing and delivering key performance indicators and demonstrating the impact of services
5. Working knowledge of relevant legislation in housing or young people's services (Supported Accommodation, Children’s Homes or Social Housing) (Ofsted, Information Commissioners Office)
6. Experience of co-production of services with staff or young people to improve processes and operational delivery with a service design focus
7. Experience of effectively developing and supporting staff

1. Able to work effectively, with the ability to spot opportunities and adapt to changing environments
2. Strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and make decisions in line with the organisations needs as part of a leadership team
3. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships quickly, inspiring confidence and gaining the trust and respect of a wide range of people

5. Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
6. Good numeracy skills.
7. Ability to be creative and solution focused when faced with operational challenges
8. Digital and presentation skills, including proficiency in using MS Office 365 package, information management systems and different software packages.
9. Ability to train and coach others.
