Job Summary
An excellent opportunity to join the Cakehead family one of the fastest growing Cake brands in the UK servicing the “out of home market” as Finance Manager.
We are seeking experienced Finance Manager. This role requires strong leadership, expert knowledge of financial management, and the ability to guide teams through complex financial processes. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and implementing cost control measures to optimise organisational performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and expense management.
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cashflow forecasts, budgeting and variance analysis
- Support payroll administration to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and compliance.
- Ownership of VAT process, submission of monthly returns, ensuring all reconciled
- Complete month end stock reconciliations
- Partner with various business functions to identify and resolve root cause issues.
- Handle the monthly and ad-hoc recharge of salary, expenses, and other costs.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and commentary.
- Assist with month-end deliverables, including intercompany reconciliations
- Ensure adherence to company policies and internal control systems, supporting both internal and external audits.
- Supporting variance analysis and providing insight into financial performance
- Deputise for Group Financial Controller
Experience and qualifications
- Recognised accounting qualifications
- Proven experience with Sage 50 Accounts and ideally Sage 50 Payroll
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Highly organised with the ability to work independently and handle varied tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills for liaising with colleagues, accountants and suppliers
Other Information:
- Based on site, full time
- Core Hours: 8:30 – 5:00 Monday to Friday
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
