Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile General Person to join our team, specialising in landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors across various projects, contributing to the upkeep and enhancement of green spaces. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude, with a keen interest in gardening and landscape work, and be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, strimmers and lawnmowers.This position is paid and suitable for individuals looking to develop their skills within the horticultural industry.
The role is offered on a self employed basis.
Own vehicle required to travel between properties.
Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and weed control
- Assist with general gardening tasks such as soil preparation, fertilising, and mulching
- Support team members in larger projects or specialised horticultural activities
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during outdoor work
Experience
- Prior experience in gardening, landscaping or horticulture is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and landscape maintenance techniques is desirable
- Growing experience or familiarity with plant care and garden design will be considered a plus
- A genuine interest in gardening and outdoor work is essential
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to horticultural activities
