Experienced GRP Roadside Laminator
Location: Direct GRP Solutions Ltd, Abernant, Neath Port Talbot
Hours: Full Time – 40 Hours Per Week
Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 3:30pm
Friday: 6:30am – 12:30pm
About Us
Direct GRP Solutions Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-quality Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) products, supplying customers across the utility, rail, telecommunications and construction sectors. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced GRP Roadside Laminator to join our manufacturing team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing GRP roadside cabinets and associated products to a consistently high standard while working safely and efficiently as part of our production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture GRP roadside cabinets and associated products from technical drawings and job specifications.
- Hand lay-up of fibreglass matting using polyester resin systems.
- Apply gel coats, resins and catalysts accurately.
- Ensure products meet our quality standards.
- Maintain moulds and equipment to a high standard.
- Work to production targets without compromising quality or safety.
- Follow all Safe Working Procedures, COSHH requirements and company Health & Safety policies.
- Wear and maintain the required PPE and RPE.
- Maintain a clean and organised working area.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a GRP/Fibreglass Laminator.
- Experience manufacturing GRP roadside cabinets or similar composite products.
- Good understanding of hand lay-up techniques.
- Experience working with polyester resins, catalysts and fibreglass materials.
- Ability to read and follow production drawings and work instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good timekeeping and reliability.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
Desirable
- Knowledge of quality inspection processes.
- Experience working within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment.
