Job Overview: Nursery Manager
A hands-on, leadership role overseeing the daily operations, team, and Forest School-focused curriculum at an Ofsted 'Good with Outstanding' countryside nursery.
Pay, Hours & Perks
- Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per year (depending on experience).
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (includes a half-day off each week).
- Location: Countryside location (rural setting with large grounds).

Core Responsibilities
- Leadership & Operations: Steer daily nursery operations, update policies, manage staff rotas (with Deputy support), and direct team supervisions/training plans.
- Curriculum & Care: Deliver room-based care, ensure health and safety, and track developmental milestones via the Famly app.
- Community: Maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and promote the Forest School outdoor learning approach.
Key Requirements
- Qualifications: Level 3 Early Years Qualification or Early Years Degree (or equivalent).
- Previous leadership experience in a similar nursery/early-years role.
- Strong working knowledge of EYFS, Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience, and a valid DBS.
- Passion or interest in Forest School outdoor learning.
