The Role
The University is looking for someone to join our Campus and Residential Services team undertaking a variety of essential reception duties. The main location for the role will be the central University Reception but the postholder may also be asked to provide cover in the Porter’s Lodge at times.
The working pattern is 20 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hours of work are 1.00pm to 5.00pm. No weekend work is required.
Work will include providing a telephone and front of house reception service greeting visitors and dealing with enquiries; reporting maintenance faults, issuing keys and providing some administrative support within the wider team.
The Team
The team consists of 4 Receptionists who work closely with the wider Front of House team. To deliver a friendly, efficient and professional customer service. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors to the University
The team are responsible for greeting visitors, handling enquires by phone or email and in person. Using our inhouse maintenance reporting system and providing an administrative support to the wider Campus & Residential Services department.
Key requirements
Experience of working in customer facing environment
Computer literate
Good communication skills
Experience of using switchboard system would be desirable but is not essential
