Qualified Carpenter – First & Second Fix

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Qualified Carpenter to join our team, carrying out both first and second fix carpentry work across a variety of residential and/or commercial projects.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing high-quality carpentry work including the installation of vertical cladding with a face fixed installation which is the main role needed as well as first fix through to final finishing, working to drawings, specifications and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Installation of hardy plank cladding.
- Carry out first fix carpentry, including stud walls, door linings and general structural timber work.
- Complete second fix carpentry, including doors, architraves, skirting boards, frames, flooring, kitchens, wall panelling and finishing work.
- Read and work from construction drawings and specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut and install timber and other materials accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Work independently and as part of a wider construction team.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
- Liaise professionally with site managers, other trades and clients when required.
Requirements
- Relevant carpentry qualification or recognised trade experience.
- Proven experience in both first and second fix carpentry.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and tools.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
- Own tools are desirable.
