Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables or organizing ingredients under supervision
- Support cooking staff by passing ingredients or preparing simple items as needed
- Ensure proper storage of food items in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Dispose of waste responsibly and keep trash areas clean and organized
- Restock supplies in the kitchen to ensure smooth operations during service hours
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with hygiene standards
Skills
- Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
