Role Specification
Sales Areas
- Provide cover and support to Sales Administrator for
- Sales orders entry onto SAGE in a timely and accurate manner
- Generating all despatch and shipping paperwork required for smooth and prompt delivery to the customer
- Liaising with freight forwarders to ensure prompt collection of consignments
- Input all new enquiries onto the sales database and create customer folder with preliminary information
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner and transfer to relevant colleague/department
- Provide back-up support to the sales team when required to generate standard quotations using approved costing templates provided by Sales Engineers, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery to customers.
- Liaise with other company departments to check orders are on schedule for despatch on the date acknowledged to the customer. When informed that the delivery date cannot be met, advise the customer at the earliest opportunity and confirm revised despatch date, ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the manufacturing process.
- Coordinate and monitor customer returns, liaising with internal departments to ensure timely resolution and providing customers with regular progress updates.
- Coordinate production schedules and communicate order status and delivery updates to customers, ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the manufacturing process.
- Proactively monitor and follow up on projects with a value of up to £2,000, ensuring quotations, customer responses, and project milestones are progressed in a timely manner to the appropriate member of the sales team.
- Send quotation and referred enquiry follow up requests to key accounts and update the sales data base accordingly based on responses received.
- Send follow up emails post-despatch using standard email template to check receipt of goods and that there are no reported problems/issues.
- Update Delivery Cost Analysis spread sheet to monitor freight costs quoted and actuals paid. Report on significant variances (negative).
Marketing Areas
- Upload pre-prepared social media posts to LinkedIn, Google, X and Facebook.
- Update website with any amends to product descriptions, specifications etc. as per the above using content management system.
- Generate ‘News’ post on company website.
- Potential to self-generate and send to Sales & Marketing Manager for approval in future.
- Make simple amends/updates to company datasheets as required, re-issue, create pdf and upload to website and internal datasheet folder.

This apprenticeship is ideally suited to someone who is ambitious, curious, and keen to make a meaningful contribution while developing valuable professional skills.
Full time office based - we offer a semi flexible start and finish time usually 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm Monday to Fridays, 37.5 hrs. per week.
You will undertake a level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with Learning Curve Group.
