Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary ladies team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff with food preparation and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. We are seeking someone who has experience in a fast paced environment. Someone who is local as there is no public transport. Warwick area. Own transport is advised.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of hot and cold sandwiches, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning ovens, fridges and surfaces.
- Support the other ladies in preparation of food.
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly and labelled according to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal delivery.
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment . Three years or more.
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors effectively. To be able to take orders over the phone and communicate with customers.
We are seeking someone who will start promptly at 6.30am until 2.30pm who will assist the other ladies in the team. No weekend or evening work.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
