Northern Polytunnels is looking for a Tube Laser Operative to join our production team. This role involves setting up and operating tube laser machinery, ensuring high-quality cutting standards, and supporting the smooth running of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the tube laser machine safely and efficiently.
- Load materials and prepare jobs in line with production requirements.
- Monitor cutting quality and make adjustments where required.
- Carry out routine preventative maintenance.
- Read and interpret technical drawings.
- Inspect finished parts and check dimensions against required tolerances.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or programming issues where possible.
- Work with the maintenance team on repairs and planned maintenance.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards and keep the work area clean, safe, and organised.
Skills and Experience
- Previous laser operating experience is preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Confident using hand tools.
- FLT licence preferred.

- Strong attention to detail.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
