Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Baby Room Leader to oversee and support the care of infants within our nursery setting. This leadership role involves managing daily activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and guiding a team of childcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a passion for early childhood development, and experience working with children in a nursery environment. Duties
- Lead and supervise the baby room team, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care, adhering strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development and daily activities.
- Organise staff rotas, delegate tasks efficiently, and support team members in their professional growth.
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, organised, and stimulating for infants’ needs.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements related to childcare standards and policies.
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Extensive experience working with children, particularly in early childhood or infant care.
- Strong knowledge of childcare practices, early childhood education principles, and nursery regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to organise workload effectively whilst maintaining a nurturing environment for infants.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties or outreach activities.
- Passionate about child development with a caring attitude towards young children.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are essential (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification).
