Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team and deliver exceptional service across various locations. Duties
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Load, secure, and transport flatbed cargo with precision, ensuring all loads are properly balanced and secured
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and vehicle compliance
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimize time and fuel efficiency while meeting delivery deadlines
- Assist with loading and unloading goods at various sites
- Communicate proactively regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues on the road
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record (maximum 3 points)
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed loads and delivery routes
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards for heavy goods vehicles
- Experience in driving for delivery services or logistics companies is highly desirable
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo when necessary
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning tools
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with dispatch and clients
