Wey-Glass Ltd is a family run business based in Aldershot, established in 2002, We are looking for a Trainee Glazier & Window Fitter to join our team, where you will develop essential skills in the installation and maintenance of glass and window systems. This paid training role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn a highly skilled trade within the construction industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of glazing, window fitting and maintenance. This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a rewarding career in the glass industry, with exposure to a wide range of techniques and tools.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the measurement, cutting, and fitting of glass and window units under supervision
- Support the installation of windows, doors, and glass on residential and commercial sites
- Learn to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Help prepare work sites by cleaning, and organizing materials
- Support team members in maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to health and safety standards
Experience
- No prior experience necessary; enthusiasm for learning a skilled trade is essential
- Basic understanding of construction-related skills such as using hand tools or power tools is advantageous
- Strong teamwork ethic with good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards
This Job will be paid on a PAYE basis, hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm.
Pay: From £11.00 per hour
