Role Summary:
The purpose of this role is to support the Business Sector Controller (BSC) and National Account Manager (NAM) to deliver the account sales targets.
The role is a key point of contact for the customer and internal colleagues, acting as primary cover for the BSC/NAM when they are out of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and develop excellent relationships with existing and potential customers across sales, marketing, supply chain, and operations.
- Deal promptly with any customer queries or requests, involving relevant personnel when required and follow up accordingly until the query / issue has been dealt with.
- Support the BSC/NAM when preparing accurate reports as required by each specified customer account in a timely manner.
- Support the BSC/NAM when providing commercial input into supply chain meetings (e.g. forecasting meeting).
- Co-ordinate the implementation of price changes, including stock management and implementation dates both internally and with the customer.
- Co-ordinate the implementation of any new products or products specifications amendments from concept to launch.
- Maintain a good level of market and competitor knowledge by means of regular store visits and reading of relevant trade publications.
- Represent the company at Trade events and fairs as and when required.
- Be the primary caretaker for the Customer when the BSC/NAM is out of the business.
- Have full working knowledge of retailers systems and supplier portals
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a previous sales/customer interface experience
- Graduate Calibre
- PC literate (word, excel, PowerPoint, e-mail/outlook)
- Previous FMCG market experience desirable
- Previous wines & spirits experience desirable
Experience
- Previous account management experience
- Strong communicator
- Exposure to working for a team of sales people
- Good commercial skills
- Ability to project manage
- Ability and confidence in interaction with senior management

- Flexibility and adaptability is essential
- Full UKdriving licence
- Requirement to travel to customer meetings and stay overnight from time to time if required.
