Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor to lead and manage teams within our venue The Butchers Race (Formally The Coach & Horses) Croxdale Opening Early September 2026 . The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in management roles, particularly within retail or sales environments. This role offers an opportunity to oversee daily operations, motivate staff, and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication across diverse teams and customer bases. The Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining organisational efficiency, implementing merchandising strategies, and supporting overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage daily operational activities, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to staff to foster professional development.
- Organise and oversee merchandising displays to optimise product presentation and maximise sales opportunities.
- Maintain effective communication with team members through clear phone etiquette and organisational skills.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling shifts, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, motivation, and high standards of conduct.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the workplace.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising or management roles, ideally within retail or sales sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff towards common goals.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Experience in merchandising, sales management, or retail management is preferred.
- Sound time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Administrative experience including record keeping, reporting, and scheduling.
- Professional phone etiquette coupled with strong organisational abilities.
- Management experience complemented by excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Pay: From £12.90 per hour
