Practice Nurse
Nettlebed Surgery – Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire
2 Sessions per week (In-person role)
Nettlebed Surgery is seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly and patient-focused team for two sessions per week (Mondays and Fridays but potentially Mondays and Thursdays).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care within a supportive and well-established rural GP practice.

The Role
Working as part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across a range of nursing services, including:
- Wound care
- ECGs
- Venepuncture
- New patient health checks
- Travel immunisations
- Diabetes management
- Hypertension reviews
- Asthma and COPD management
- Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) care
- Routine, childhood and travel immunisations
- Cytology
- Women's health service
- Support insulin initiation and optimisation (where appropriately qualified)
- Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to QOF and enhanced service targets
- Provide patient education to support self-management
- Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives
This is an in-person clinical role, working directly with patients at the surgery.
About You
We are looking for a nurse who:
- Is a Registered Nurse (NMC registered)
- Has experience in primary care (desirable)
- Demonstrates excellent communication and patient education skills
- Works independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Is committed to safeguarding and professional development
Independent prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential.
