Due to continued growth, Thermolite is looking for an experienced Fitter / Joiner to join our installation team.
Thermolite manufactures premium conservatory roof replacement systems and modular home extensions from our Chester facility, with our installation teams delivering high-quality home improvement projects throughout Cheshire, North Wales, Wirral and the surrounding areas.
We’re looking for someone practical, reliable and experienced who takes genuine pride in their workmanship and wants to be part of a growing company delivering high-quality bespoke projects.
The Role
This is a site-based installation role, working as part of our team on a variety of residential projects.
Your work may include:
- Conservatory roof replacement installations
- Modular home extension installations
- Joinery and carpentry works
- Window and door installation
- Structural alterations
- Internal finishing works
- Roofline and associated installation works
- General building and construction activities associated with our projects
Our work is varied, so we’re looking for someone who is confident working across different aspects of a project and is comfortable using their initiative on site.
This is not repetitive volume site work. You’ll be working on high-quality residential installations where attention to detail, workmanship and respect for the customer’s home are extremely important.
All installation work is local to the North West, meaning you’ll generally be home every evening with no expectation of working away from home.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have experience in joinery, carpentry, conservatory installations, roofing, glazing, windows and doors, or a similar construction trade.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
- Good joinery/carpentry skills
- Experience working on residential properties
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the finished job
- Good communication skills with customers and colleagues
- The ability to adapt to different types of installation work
Previous conservatory or home-improvement experience would be an advantage, but isn’t essential for the right experienced tradesperson who is willing to learn our systems.
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
