Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Drivers to join our team. Jump up Logistics is looking for several self employed ad-hoc drivers. The role is perfect for applicants looking for part time or on the day work!!
Applicants will be short notice drivers meaning they will be called on the day for work as it becomes available on the rota. The days will be pre agreed with applicants.
We supply the vehicle and fuel free of charge and a (3.5t van XLWB) which will be located in Leeds.
Pay is weekly every Friday after a 2 weeks arrears period.
The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations. This role requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of logistics, particularly for time sensitive or chilled/frozen temperature operations.
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients so excellent English is a must
- Available for work on the days agreed
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods.
- A good understanding of route planning and navigation skills.
- Living within the Leeds area will get you priority
