Female (S9 Pt 1 Equality Act 2010 exempt position) Support Worker / Personal Assistant required. The role will be a freelance role which will require a monthly invoice to Social Services, therefore you will need a UTR, DBS and insurance.
I am disabled through multiple sclerosis, and I have ADHD and bipolar disorder as well. My MS has progressed this year, and I am now mostly dependent on a wheelchair / mobility scooter, although I drive and own a car.
I need a friendly, caring and above all RELIABLE support worker to assist with some personal care (no continence issues involved), preparing meals, some housekeeping; also assistance with organisation and personal projects such as progress and accountability to ensure things get completed on time.
You must be a dog lover as I have a small, friendly service dog - you will need to spend some time playing with him as well (definitely a perk of the job!).
Occasionally, supporting me to go to the local health club will be needed.
You may need to run errands for me so a driving licence is essential. This could include a supermarket or pharmacy trip, and possibly to the James Paget Hospital as well.
Please note that the hours will rise to 10.5 a week once Social Services funding is fully arranged, to start, I will pay the five hours a week myself. The hourly rate will also increase, but at the time of placing the ad, I do not know what the increase will be.
The time of day I will need assistance is in the afternoon, around the 2pm to 3pm, then 2pm to 4pm times, this is non negotiable due to daily fluctuations of my energy. I worsen as the day progresses and need the help most during the afternoons.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
