Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Grab Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting goods safely and efficiently from various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage logistics effectively. The ideal applicant will have a background in commercial driving and possess mechanical knowledge to handle minor repairs and maintenance.
Duties
- Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe working condition. .
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries,
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform basic mechanical checks and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
Requirements
- Valid HGV driving licence .
- Proven experience in commercial driving and operation of grab with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Willingness to work .
- A good understanding of logistics and route planning is advantageous.
