Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
A large private country Estate in Surrey requires a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer, who has a good all round trade knowledge to join the Engineering department. As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for working within a skilled team of maintenance engineers conducting preventative maintenance and repairs as required to ensure the estate, its grounds and equipment are working and kept to the standards required by the Client. Taking on projects and small Installation works will be required in addition. A strong background in facility maintenance, as well as knowledge of heating ventilation and air conditioning PPM’s is a bonus.
Responsibilities:
· You will be responsible for M&E installation and maintenance duties either on the Estate, or elsewhere as required under the supervision and/or request of the Chief Engineer, Client, or Estate Director.
· To undertake specific PPM jobs as issued by the Chief Engineer.
· The role will require you to conduct minor electrical, air-conditioning and plumbing duties which includes internal and external lighting checks and re-lamping, resetting electrical circuit breakers, repairing leaking taps unblocking drains, making small repairs to FCU’s and condensers, as necessary.
· To undertake PPM duties, strictly following the Estate PPM Programme when required and instructed.
· Conduct daily checks of plant rooms and pick up any other faults that may need repairing during the day and actioning those tasks accordingly.
· You may be required to escort and supervise any contractors that come to the Estate.
· Be part of the Emergency Weekend Callout Team and be available to work on the rota as required.
You may also be asked to work past you contracted hours if deemed necessary on a day-to-day basis.
· You will be required to do errands off the estate for the Estate team and/or guests.
· Assisting with the daily checks and maintenance of the swimming pools and water features throughout the estate and reporting any issues found to the Estate Director/ Chief Engineer.
· Reporting any issues found or unresolved faults either in the house or on the property to the Estate Director / Chief Engineer.
· Assisting with the unloading and loading materials/deliveries as required.
Skills required.
· Plumbing skills.
· DIY handyman skills.
· HVAC/Air-conditioning knowledge is an asset.
· Good reasoning and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Basic AV/IT skills an advantage.
· A recognised time served, qualified Trades person required.
· At least 5 years working in a similar environment.
Requirements
· Full drivers licence with no more than 6 points.
· Live no more than 45 minutes from the estate.
· Client focused with excellent communication skills.
· A good command of English.
· Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
· Punctual and self-motivated.
Package

· Working a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm daily with 1 hour lunch break.
· During the summer months June to September, you will be required to do shift work that covers late shifts and weekend work.
· Overtime is paid in Luie of hours worked.
· Annual leave is 28 days per year with no entitlement to public holidays.
· A discretionary annual bonus.
· An enhanced DBS check will be required (at employers’ cost) and signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement is condition.
