Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Production Operative to join our timber door manufacturing team. The role involves assembling and finishing high-quality timber doors using hand tools, working from technical drawings, and ensuring all products meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and manufacture timber doors using a range of hand tools
- Read and interpret basic technical drawings and job specifications
- Measure, cut, and fit timber components accurately
- Carry out sanding, finishing, and preparation of timber products
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Follow all health and safety procedures, particularly when handling timber and tools
- Report defects, damages, or production issues to supervisors
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Competent in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, drills, and sanders
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings
- Physically fit and able to handle timber materials
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Working hours:
07:30-16:30 Monday – Thursday
07:30-13:30 Friday
