Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Room Leader to oversee daily operations within our educational environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of staff, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing space for children. The Room Leader will play a vital part in creating an inclusive and stimulating environment that promotes learning, creativity, and well-being.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the daily activities of the classroom, ensuring they align with organisational policies and curriculum standards
- Support the planning and implementation of educational programmes tailored to children's individual needs and interests
- Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's curiosity and confidence
- Mentor and support team members, providing guidance on best practices in early childhood education
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones
- Ensure health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to within the setting
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Monitor the environment regularly to ensure it remains stimulating, safe, and well-resourced
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare)
- Proven experience working with young children in an educational or care setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations

Pay: £27,345.00-£32,042.00 per year
