Due to recent and ongoing renovations we are looking to expand out team. We are looking for either full time or part time, due to the flexibility of the role.
We are a busy, friendly 11-surgery mixed NHS/Private dental practice located near the centre of York, as our practice grows, we are looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join our welcoming and supportive team.

The Role
As a Dental Nurse, you will play an essential part in delivering excellent patient care. You will support the dentist during procedures, help maintain a smooth workflow within the practice, and ensure patients feel comfortable and well looked after.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready
- Provide chairside support to the dentist
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment in line with infection control protocols
- Processing of dental radiographs
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Support the smooth running of the surgery and patient flow
- Provide reassurance and care to patients throughout their visit
- Educate patients on oral hygiene where appropriate
Requirements
- Must hold a recognised Dental Nursing qualification & be registered with the GDC
- Experience with Dentally software would be advantageous
- Previous experience working with Foundation dentists, therapists and trainee dental nurses would also be advantageous
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good IT skills for maintaining patient records
- A positive, friendly attitude and the ability to work well within a team
- Compassionate approach to patient care
