At Jegger Win, we believe reliable technology gives people the freedom to focus on great work. We’re looking for a technically capable, approachable, and solutions-focused IT Support Specialist to join our Leeds team.
If you enjoy troubleshooting, helping colleagues, and finding smarter ways to solve technology challenges, this is an opportunity to develop your IT career while making a meaningful contribution to the organisation.
The Role
As an IT Support Specialist, you’ll provide day-to-day technical support to users across the organisation. From resolving software and hardware issues to supporting accounts, devices, connectivity, and workplace applications, you’ll help ensure our technology environment remains reliable and productive.
You’ll combine technical problem-solving with excellent customer service, ensuring every support request receives a professional and timely response.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line IT support to employees
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, printer, and connectivity issues
- Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Install, update, and troubleshoot business applications and workplace software
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 and common productivity applications
- Create and manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access requests
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment and account setup
- Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity issues
- Log, prioritise, monitor, and resolve support requests through an IT ticketing system
- Maintain accurate IT asset, hardware, software, and user records
- Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system changes
- Assist with hardware upgrades, replacements, software deployments, and technology rollouts
- Support endpoint security, access controls, backups, and company IT-security procedures
- Maintain technical documentation, FAQs, and user guides
- Escalate complex or unresolved technical issues to senior IT colleagues or external providers
- Identify recurring problems and recommend preventative or process improvements
- Assist with IT projects and technology improvement initiatives
About You
- A qualification in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar role
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, and basic networking
- Familiarity with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID is desirable
- Experience using IT service-management or ticketing systems is an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer-service skills and a patient, professional approach
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritise effectively
- Confidence explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
What Will Make You Stand Out?
- Enjoys investigating problems rather than simply applying quick fixes
- Takes ownership of issues and follows them through to resolution
- Can translate technical language into clear, practical guidance
- Is proactive about improving systems, processes, and support documentation
- Enjoys learning new technologies and expanding their technical knowledge
- Remains calm and professional when priorities change
- Has a genuine service mindset and enjoys helping others
- Understands that excellent IT support combines technology expertise with strong communication
What We Offer
- A supportive and collaborative working environment
- Opportunities to expand your technical skills and industry knowledge
- Exposure to a variety of systems, applications, devices, and IT projects
- Professional development and career progression opportunities
- A workplace culture that values initiative, teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Opportunities to contribute ideas and make a visible impact on workplace technology
