We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Tutor to support children in their educational development. Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions to primary school pupils across a range of subjects, including literacy and numeracy.
- Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly to maximise engagement and understanding.
- Support children with special educational needs by implementing specialised teaching strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to parents and relevant staff.
- Create engaging lesson plans and learning activities that promote active participation.
- Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that builds students’ confidence and motivation.
- Maintain organised records of attendance, progress, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistent support for each child's learning journey.
Skills
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching young children within a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and educational best practices.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging children effectively and explaining concepts clearly.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate young learners.
- Organised with the ability to plan lessons that are both educational and enjoyable.
- Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of pupils with varying learning styles and abilities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
