Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, with experience in maintaining high standards of food safety. Duties
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Help to supervise kitchen staff
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items.
- Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely serving of meals and excellent customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste.
- Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Demonstrable supervisory experience with team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of food production, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Experience in food service operations, including serving guests and managing customer expectations.
- Formal culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are essential
