Responsibilities
- Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for proposals.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals that clearly outline scope, costs, timelines, and potential risks.
- Oversee project planning by establishing schedules, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
- Monitor project progress regularly to ensure adherence to budget and timeline constraints.
- Implement effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to optimize profitability.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and changes to keep everyone aligned.
Experience
- Proven experience in estimating and managing construction or related projects with a strong focus on cost control.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Knowledge of industry-standard estimating software and project management tools is preferred.
- A background in construction management or engineering is highly advantageous.
