Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food and beverage service, team management, and hospitality standards. Duties
- Oversee the daily running of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times
- Supervise and motivate bar staff, including training new team members in food preparation, serving techniques, and safety procedures
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in compliance with food safety regulations
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic options
- Ensure all food preparation meets quality standards and adheres to health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Handle customer queries or complaints professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Assist in planning special events or promotions to enhance guest engagement
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback to foster a positive team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on bar management or supervisory roles
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and beverage service including cocktail mixing
- Previous supervising experience with team management skills essential for leading staff effectively
- Familiarity with food safety standards and food production processes within a hospitality context
- Experience in serving customers in a high-volume environment such as restaurants or hotels
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary experience is advantageous
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and service delivery
- Hospitality experience including barista experience or hotel background is desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events as required
