We are seeking for warehouse operative to work in a small team in retail of new and used car parts business.
An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are expanding our team and looking for a warehouse operative to join our site based in Takeley.
We are small family run business who deal with import and sales of new and used car parts . We buy used and new parts all over Europe and UK and then sell these to garages and the public throughout the UK and internationally.
Main Purpose of Role:
Picking/packing parts to prepare for shipment
Cleaning/ sorting/ marking new stock
Taking pictures of parts.
General warehouse work.
Selling parts on the counter and over the phone.
Customer services.
Other duties involves occasionally assisting with dismantling warehouse racking & loading lorries.
Key Duties:
To ensure that all jobs are completed within the estimated times. To comply with the relevant Company Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations and policies applicable to this position and working environment.
Key Skills:
To have mechanical knowledge and to be aware of the various car makes, models and components. To have good interpersonal skills and be a team player, as the role will include working within a small team. To have a good knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures. Depend on the individual's experience and ability to meet the job description – relevant training will be given.
Main work in a workshop/warehouse therefore car might be essential for travel due to location.
Previous experience with car parts and understanding of make & models of various vehicles WOULD BE ADVANTAGE. Experience of using forklifts would also be an advantage but is not essential. Applicants must be able to drive.
MUST be fit as heavy lifting involved and able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Upon successful completion of a six month probation period candidates will be offered a permanent role within the company.
