Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care
- Follow project specifications, safety guidelines, and deadlines consistently
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to clarify project requirements and progress
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly
- Use appropriate tools and techniques for different surfaces and materials to achieve smooth, durable results
- Conduct quality checks throughout the project to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship are met
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related fields
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, paint application methods, and decorative finishing techniques
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation between sites
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear collaboration with team members and clients
- Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and safety instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina to stand, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various environments for extended periods
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to construction painting is a plus
Pay: £14.50-£20.00 per hour
