Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal fabrication and welding, with a focus on quality and precision. This role involves working with various materials and requires proficiency in both hand and power tools. The successful applicant will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal products while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques as required
- Fabricate metal components according to specifications and engineering drawings
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise
- Use basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
Experience
- Proven experience in metal fabrication, including structural and architectural.
- Proficiency in MIG welding and other welding methods
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Previous experience in assembly processes is advantageous
