Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with basic food preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties to ensure smooth operations within our restaurant or hospitality setting. Duties
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Supporting chefs with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout shifts
- Ensuring waste disposal is handled efficiently and in accordance with health regulations
- Assisting with the setup and breakdown of dining areas when required
- Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth workflow
Skills
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments is desirable
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and customer service
- Strong work ethic with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
- Basic understanding of food hygiene regulations and health & safety procedures

Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour
