Experienced Gardening & Hard Landscaping Team Leader
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and polite Gardening Team Leader to lead our maintenance crew. While our primary focus is soft landscaping and routine garden care, we also take on occasional hard landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong supervisory skills and excellent customer service with broad hands-on trade experience.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage and direct a small team on-site, ensuring jobs are finished efficiently and to a high standard.
Garden Maintenance: Oversee and perform daily tasks including tree cutting, detailed pruning, hedge trimming, and planting.
Hard Landscaping: Execute periodic construction tasks such as basic joinery (fencing, decking, timber borders) and paving/patio installations.
Client Relations: Serve as the friendly, professional face of the company, communicating clearly and politely with clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Strong background in general gardening, tree care, weeding, pruning, and basic hard landscaping (joinery and paving). Knowledge in plants will give you a strong advantage.
Leadership: Proven track record of supervising workers and managing site schedules reliably.
Soft Skills: Highly dependable, punctual, and naturally polite with strong customer service skills.
Driving License: Valid driver’s license required (to transport team and equipment).
